Police have arrested a man after officers were called to a firearms discharge in Preston, Lancashire.
Officers were called to the scene at around 9am on Tuesday morning, February 27, and several roads in the city have been closed off.
It is understood shots were fired close to London Road and a cordon is in place in front of a row of shops close to Mahjaros restaurant and pizzeria, LancsLive reports. Officers have also blocked off Cranborne Street and Adelaide Street.

Police said there are no suspected injuries following the incident. Lancashire Police confirmed one man has been arrested following the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called at around 9am today, to reports of a firearms discharge in the vicinity of London Road, Preston.
"A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and is currently in custody. No one is thought to have been injured as a result of the firearms discharge, and it is being treated as an isolated incident, with no wider threat to the public."
The statement added: "Our officers are currently at the scene to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. We want to reassure you that you will see an increased police presence in the area whilst we carry out our investigation."
