This video captures when a double murderer was arrested for brutally killing his ex and her partner.
Marcus Osborne, 35, lured Katie Highton to her home in Huddersfield before carrying out a brutal attack, subjecting her to 99 separate injuries with a knife. The sadistic murderer then used her phone to lure her new partner, Steven Harnett, 25, to the house, ambushing him and murdering him. Osborne then raped a woman he held captive at the house.
The sick murderer then washed the bodies and 'showed them off' to a teenage girl, before going on the run from West Yorkshire Police. He then handed himself in to officers later that day (May 15), assisted by his dad, YorkshireLive reports.
The murders came after Katie, 27, had summoned the courage to leave Osborne after horrific physical attacks and his jealous, controlling abuse. She was defiantly telling her family how she was never going back to Osborne and was starting to rebuild her life. She had recently started to date Steven - a fact furious Osborne, who could not handle rejection, despised.
Osborne began hounding Katie with texts, phone calls and even got her neighbour to spy on her and report back to him with Katie's movements. Katie, fearing what Osborne would do next, went to the police for help. She was aware of his horrific previous convictions of violence against his ex girlfriends, including serving five years for breaking a woman's jaw - as were the police.
The murderer - who yesterday was handed a whole life order - had been reported to police just days before the sadistic killing after he told Katie: "If you ever get a new boyfriend, I'll kill you both." Osborne was taken in for questioning after he had also told her he would slit her throat, but was released
