Netflix has announced a new Pokémon series is set to launch on the platform, but fans of the franchise have been left hugely divided. In celebration of Pokémon Day on Monday (February 27), the streaming giant confirmed new series Pokémon Concierge is coming soon.

Nintendo has finally revealed details about the mysterious Pokémon Sleep game – with the title set for release later this year.Announced back in 2019, Pokémon Sleep was described as a sleep-tracking app that offers a “gameplay experience unlike any other.”Not much has been revealed by Nintendo since then with many assuming the title had simply been cancelled, but during today’s (February 27) Pokémon Day livestream, the studio not only confirmed the project was still in development, but went into detail about what people can expect from Pokémon Sleep.“The idea behind Pokémon Sleep is to be a game that makes you look forward to waking up in the morning,” said Takato Utsunomiya, the Pokémon Company’s chief operating officer.Set for release this summer, Sleep is “easy to play, all you have to do is get a good night’s sleep”.Rest your very best when #PokemonSleep arrives this summer! pic.twitter.com/WWlil8wB4Q— Pokémon Sleep (@PokemonSleep) February 27, 2023Set on a small island inhabited by a singular Snorlax, players will be able to attract other Pokémon by tracking their own sleep. According to the video, the mobile app will track a player’s sleep cycle and categorise it into one of three options – snoozing, dozing or slumbering – with accompanying Pokémon attached to each sleep style.“As you keep this up, you might discover some rare in-game sleep styles,” continued the video.

Netflix and The Pokémon Company announced on Monday that the two are teaming up for a new stop-motion animated series called “Pokémon Concierge,” revealing a short teaser for the new show.Expanding the Pokémon world, the story follows Haru, a concierge at the ‘Pokémon Resort,’ and her interactions with Pokémon and their owners who visit as guests. You can see her hanging with Psyduck in the first teaser video above.The ambitious project is a collaboration between Netflix, The Pokémon Company and dwarf studios, which is handling production.“Netflix is looking forward to delighting fans in Japan and around the world with ‘Pokémon Concierge,’ an entirely new visual and storytelling experience featuring ground-breaking stop-motion animation set in the Pokémon world in close collaboration with The Pokémon Company,” Minyoung Kim, Vice President of Netflix Content in Asia, said in a statement.

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the “Terminator” star’s upcoming action-comedy series, titled “Fubar.” “Everywhere I go, people ask me when I’m going to do another big action comedy like ‘True Lies.’ Well, here it is,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement. “‘Fubar’ will kick your ass and make you laugh — and not just for two hours. You get a whole season.” “Fubar” will show what happens when a father and daughter discover their entire relationship was built on a lie and that they are each CIA operatives. As the two join forces, the eight-episode series will depict themes of family dynamics with humor, action and, of course, spies. The trailer shows Schwarzenegger lighting a cigar, skirting corners and walking away from a literal dumpster fire.

Naman Ramachandran Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos revealed a continued investment push in the Indian market on Saturday. In a freewheeling chat with Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Mumbai to promote the latter’s upcoming Netflix series “Heeramandi,” Sarandos was bullish about India, repeating what he said on Friday to local media about the market’s growth. “India is the fastest growing Netflix market in the world this year and because of that, we’re able to continue to invest in great storytelling. And I think when you see ‘Heeramandi,’ you’re gonna see why it has been such the honor of a lifetime to work with Sanjay and to be able to bring this to screen. And you ain’t seen nothing yet,” Sarandos said.

It doesn’t look like Disney will be the only studio pursuing live-action versions of the most iconic films in its animation library. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Universal Pictures wants to develop a live-action adaptation of their beloved fantasy-adventure “How To Train Your Dragon” movies from DreamWorks Animation.

“Love & Death” is the second project in a year to focus on Candy Montgomery, a killer accused of murdering Betty Gore, the wife of Allan Gore, with whom she had an extramarital affair. Montgomery was portrayed by Jessica Biel in the Hulu series titled “Candy,” which saw Melanie Lynskey and Pablo Schreiber play Betty and Allan Gore, respectively.
