Mitski has announced the North American leg of her ‘The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We’ tour for 2024 – see the full list of dates below.Last night (October 3), Mitski took to social media to announce her 2024 dates, confirming that she will be performing “with a full band” and that Tamino, Sunny War, Julia Jacklin and Sarah Kinsley will be providing support.The tour will kick off in late January and will end in April, seeing the musician perform across Miami, Toronto, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico and more.Mitski is going on tour next year with a full band across North America. Tamino, Sunny War, Julia Jacklin, Sarah Kinsley will be opening up.

Pat Saperstein Deputy Editor Magnolia Pictures has acquired North American rights to “Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg,” which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. The documentary, which was acquired by SK Global Entertainment, tells the story of Anita Pallenberg, the model and actress who rose to fame in the 1960s and ’70s after a chance encounter with the Rolling Stones. Alexis Bloom and Svetlana Zill directed the docu, which features the voice of Scarlett Johansson as Anita, based on the words of her unpublished memoir.

Arlo Parks has announced a handful of new North American tour dates for next year in support of her LP ‘My Soft Machine‘.Kicking off the first night of the tour at The Observatory North Park in San Diego on February 29, 2024, Parks will then make her way across the US. Other stops include Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Toronto, Nashville, Brooklyn, and more.

Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon has announced the dates and venues for her upcoming 2023 North American tour.Hyoyeon, who releases solo music under the moniker DJ Hyo, has revealed that she will tour both the United States and Canada starting from next month.The Girls’ Generation singer’s upcoming 2023 tour will kick off on October 14 in Chicago, before heading up to the Canadian cities of Montreal and Toronto.Thereafter, Hyoyeon will play four shows in the US – San Francisco, Boston, New York and Maidson – across the rest of October, before heading back up north to Vancouver in Canada in early-November.According to the K-pop idol’s Instagram post, more dates for her upcoming 2023 North America tour will be revealed soon. Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Yellow Veil Pictures, the U.S.-based arthouse genre distribution company, has acquired North American rights to Belgian director Claude Schmitz’s deadpan detective thriller “The Other Laurens.” The feature debut world premiered at Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight and will have its North American Premiere at Fantastic Fest which kicks off Sept. 23 in Austin, Texas. Yellow Veil Pictures plans for a theatrical release in 2024.

EXCLUSIVE: The Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival announced the lineup for the 32nd edition of North America’s longest-running all doc festival, a slate that includes several world premieres and a slew of Academy Award-contending films. In addition, Hot Springs announced Oscar-winning actress Mary Steenburgen, an Arkansas native, will serve as honorary chair of the event in the resort town located in the scenic Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas.

The Last Dinner Party have announced their first-ever North American tour.Kicking off on October 31, the five-piece will make their way to the East Coast for their first show at The Atlantis in Washington D.C.. From there, they will make stops in New York City and Philadelphia before heading over to the West Coast to play a show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, California.Their final show of the tour will take place on November 9 at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago.
