Disney+ Confirms 60-Country June Launch Across Europe, Africa and West Asia

Naman Ramachandran The Walt Disney Company’s streamer Disney+ will be available in 42 new countries and 11 new territories this week following the launch on Tuesday in Greece, Turkey and countries in Central Eastern Europe, including Poland, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic and Croatia. Tuesday’s series of launches follow the arrival of the service in South Africa on May 18 and across West Asia and North Africa on June 8.

Jimi Hendrix with another Blue Plaque.The plaque will be located at the Hard Rock Hotel in Marble Arch and will be unveiled on June 10 alongside the ‘Experience Hendrix L.L.C’ event.The location marks Hendrix’s last London residence, which was then known as the Cumberland Hotel. Jimi Hendrix‘s penis is set to be unveiled at the Phallological Museum in Iceland next month.The cast, which was created by Cynthia Albritton in February 1968 while Hendrix was on tour in Chicago, will be revealed during a closed event at the museum’s premises in downtown Reykjavik in early June.Known as the “Plaster Caster”, Albritton, who also made penis moulds for Buzzcocks’ Pete Shelley and Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra, donated the cast to the Icelandic institution shortly before her death in April.“It is with feelings of sadness and pride that The Phallological Museum announces that prior to passing, Cynthia ʹPlaster Casterʹ Albritton, decided to donate to the museum with one of a few casts of Jimi Hendrix,” the museum wrote yesterday (May 23) on Twitter.Hendrix phallus cast to The Icelandic Phallological Museum.
