Bonnie Raitt took to the stage tonight during the 2020 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles’ Staples Center, where she performed a tribute to country folk singer-songwriter John Prine. She performed his song “Angel From Montgomery,” which she turned into a hit upon recording it 1974. Prine, who was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2019, was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award this year. Watch Raitt’s tribute performance below.
Legendary singer-songwriter John Prine was recognized with one of the Grammys' Lifetime Achievement awards this year. At the awards on Sunday night (Jan. 26) he was paid tribute by the great Bonnie Raitt, who performed an acoustic version of Prine's classic "Angel From Montgomery" in homage.
The 2020 Grammys will take place on Sunday, January 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. As always, the full slate of Grammy performances includes nominees and other acts.
