Bafta Awards - saying a man would have been "abused, shamed and cancelled" if he had cracked some of the jokes she did. The Australian actress also suffered a backlash from viewers who branded her "unfunny" and said they were "cringing" at her gags on Sunday night (March 13).
Rebel cracked a joke about Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s much-publicised open relationship after he won the award for Leading Actor for his performance in King Richard. He was absent from the ceremony, so the film’s director Reinaldo Marcus Green accepted the award on his behalf.
Joking about Smith’s win, Wilson said she thought his “best performance in the past year was being OK with all his wife’s boyfriends”. Piers Morgan is set to return to our screens on a new TalkTV series, Uncensored in just a few weeks time. The controversial presenter famously quit Good Morning Britain in March 2021 after he had an argument with weatherman, Alex Beresford about Meghan Markle and stormed off the set live on air. Now, the 56-year-old will front a new global show that launches on Monday 25 April with the new UK channel, TalkTV that will also be streamed on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung TV Plus and YouTube.
