Phoebe Waller-Bridge to write ‘Tomb Raider’ series for Prime Video

Prime Video has ordered a new Tomb Raider with Phoebe Waller-Bridge in the writer’s seat.Yesterday (May 14), Prime and Amazon MGM Studios announced that a new Tomb Raider series in the works with video game developer Crystal Dynamics. Waller-Bridge will write and executive produce for the series.The upcoming Tomb Raider series has yet to reveal a cast, details on its plot, or a release date.The legacy continues. Amazon MGM Studios and Crystal Dynamics to expand the TOMB RAIDER universe.

Tomb Raider has been a huge part of my life and I feel incredibly privileged to be bringing it to television with such passionate collaborators.
Lara Croft means a lot to me, as she does to many, and I can’t wait to go on this adventure. Bats ‘n all.”Since achieving worldwide success with Fleabag in 2016, Waller-Bridge has gone onto star in Solo: A Star Wars Story, produce Killing Eve and serve as a writer on the James Bond film No Time To Die.She most recently starred in Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny, where she plays Indy’s goddaughter Helena Shaw opposite Harrison Ford. She will next have a voice role in Ryan Reynolds’ IF, due for release this week (May 17).Waller-Bridge was originally meant to play the role of Mrs.
Smith in Prime’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith but departed from the project in September 2021.
