Phillip Schofield was left sharing his thoughts after a This Morning viewer called in to ask for advice over a friend who had been the victim of relationship fraud.
The presenter was back hosting the ITV daytime show on Thursday (May 5) alongside Holly Willoughby when they were joined by Vanessa Feltz for her latest phone-in. The broadcast was wanting to hear from people about their 'friendship feuds'.
Among those phoning in to speak to the presenting duo and Vanessa was 'Sarah' who claimed her friend had been 'lying about her relationship' to her. However, 'Sarah' then revealed her friend had actually been the victim of fraud.

It transpired that her friend had never met the man and she said he ended up stealing around £27,000 from her. Phillip, 60, was quick to jump in and said: "I think you should be supporting her. She’s lost £27,000, she’s been mortally wounded in love, she's embarrassed and you're upset because she told you lies."
Vanessa then shared: "‘It's not about whether she lied to you, I think she just couldn’t bear to come clean about this because she feels like she’s been silly."
Interjecting again, Phillip said: "She’s your best friend," as his co-host Holly, 41, added: "I think she is a victim here, of somebody who has scammed her out of an awful lot of money so I think you just need to keep that in the back of your mind and maybe forgive her."
And This Morning viewers were just as vocal about the situation. @JayHBaker94 tweeted: "Sarah is it is not all about you love. be a friend and support her... #ThisMorning."
"With friends like Sarah who needs enemies #ThisMorning," @deborahphillips commented.
