But it got even more interesting on Thursday (May 19) when Phillip and co-host Holly Willoughby were joined on the ITV daytime show by US actress Abbie Bela who has claimed to have been abducted by aliens just over a year ago and has now fallen in love with an extra-terrestrial friend.
Abbie, who goes by the name Emanuela Rose, appeared on the famous sofa with a green inflatable alien, which she said was a "symbolic representation" of her boyfriend, to talk to the hosts about their relationship.

Introducing Emanuela onto the show, Phillip, 60, said: "Our next guest probably holds the record for biggest long-distance relationship ever." But she did also share her reservations about the safety of her partner. She said: "I don't want him to end up in Area 51 with the other aliens." Holly asked: "Do you worry about him being on here today?" Emanuela replied: "Well, yeah."
When asked where the alien is at the minute, Emanuela answered: "He's somewhere in the atmosphere. He doesn't really tell me his coordinates because of the FBI. They're afraid if they make themselves known to the population it will start some kind of war."
Holly, 41, also asked Emanuela about the nature of their relationship in the bedroom, saying: "Part of being in a relationship is physicality and intimacy - are you intimate in a way of sorts? Emanuela then explained
