Pete Davidson in talks to head to space on Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin flight

“I know Pete [Davison] real well,” Jon Stewart said during the Mar. 22 episode of SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. Jon, 59, and Pete, 28, were recently photographed together at a New York Knicks game, and Stewart dished on his friendship with the Saturday Night Live funnyman. He also gave love to Pete for handling the drama with Kim Kardashian‘s ex-husband, Kanye West. “[Pete’s] just a kid trying to live his life. He’s one of my favorite people. He’s just a f-ckin’ smart, funny kid just trying to live his life, and he’s caught up — I think he’s doing as best he can in that situation, when you’re dealing with something that’s so explosive and loaded with all kinds of other things, and I just love that kid.”

NEW YORK -- Pete Davidson has bowed out of a short ride to space on a Jeff Bezos rocket.The “Saturday Night Live” star is no longer able to make the flight, which has been delayed for nearly a week, Bezos' space travel company said Thursday night. No other details were provided.The company announced earlier this week that Davidson would be one of six passengers on Blue Origin's next flight.

William Shatner was on a flight in October, blasting off from West Texas and reaching a height of roughly 66 miles above Earth on the 10-minute jaunt.Former NFL great and “Good Morning America” co-host Michael Strahan flew on Blue Origin's second passenger flight in December, joining astronaut Alan Shepard's daughter on the journey.

“Saturday Night Live” boss Lorne Michaels for a new comedy series, “Bupkis.”The comedian and Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend will star as a fictionalized version of himself in the series based on his life, Deadline reported. Davidson is co-writing the show with his long-time collaborator Dave Sirus and Judah Miller.While negations are still being discussed, Michaels’ Broadway Video and Universal Television company is producing the project.The outlet described “Bupkis” as a “raw, unflinching, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life.
