EXCLUSIVE: Screen Gems and Stage 6 Films are set to start production on Insidious 5, the latest installment in the hit horror series with Sinclair Daniel, Peter Dager, and Hiam Abbass joining returning cast members that include Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne and Ty Simpkins. Wilson will direct the film, marking his directorial debut.

Peacock announced on Friday that The Exorcist: Believer, the first in a new trilogy of films based on the 1973 horror classic, The Exorcist, will debut exclusively on the platform on December 1st, there joining titles like The Black Phone and Five Nights at Freddy’s, among many others.

McKinley Franklin editor It looks like some demons are harder to get rid of than others.  The first official trailer for the fifth installment of the mainstay horror franchise “Insidious” reveals a new demonic side of the jinxed Lambert family. “Insidious: The Red Door” picks up 10 years after “Insidious: Chapter 2,” showcasing some familiar faces from its predecessors. At the end of the second movie, it seems as though the Lambert family has shed their satanic visions. Fast forward to the modern day, Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Dalton Lambert (Ty Simpkins) are back to face a new set of problems — like Dalton’s first year at college and a fresh group of nightmarish monsters.

Universal Pictures, Atomic Monster and Blumhouse’s Night Swim is now opening on January 5, 2024 instead of January 19.

Peacock has announced that it will begin streaming the sci-fi horror smash M3GAN from Blumhouse and Atomic Monster on February 24 — exactly three weeks ahead of its recently secured China release. The film’s PG-13 theatrical cut will be accompanied on the platform by an unrated version exclusive to Peacock.

The film comes from the esteemed horror production company Blumhouse, in close collaboration with horror maestro James Wan, who was notably behind the “Saw,” “Insidious” and “Conjuring” franchises. “M3GAN” stars Allison Williams as Gemma, a toy company roboticist who programs the artificial intelligence doll. Gemma tasks the doll with protecting her grieving niece Cady, played by Violet McGraw, who lost both of her parents in a car crash. “Insidious 5” finally has a release date. The hit horror franchise will make its way back into theaters on July 7, 2023 — five years after the previous installment, “Insidious: The Last Key,” debuted in Jan.

William Earl “Dashcam,” the divisive horror movie from Rob Savage and Blumhouse, has revealed a trailer ahead of its release in theaters and on demand on June 3.Per the official synopsis, “At the start of the pandemic, an indulgent and self-deluded livestreaming improv musician abandons L.A. for London, steals her ex-band mate’s car, and makes the wrong decision to give a ride to an elderly woman who is not what she seems.”The found footage horror about a “noxious pandemic denier who flouts all contagion-prevention protocols” is produced by Jason Blum and Douglas Cox, while executive producers include Savage, Gemma Hurley, Jed Shepherd and Ryan Turek.

Momentum Pictures has acquired North American and UK rights to Blumhouse Productions’ thriller Dashcam from director Rob Savage, who broke out in 2020 with his pandemic horror feature, Host. The Entertainment One company plans to release it in theaters this summer.
