Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan is supporting actors and writers and taking a step back from filmmaking as the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes continue.

George Clooney is the latest A-list star to voice his support for the actor's union strike. In a statement shared with Fox News Digital on Friday, Clooney said, "This is an inflection point in our industry."  He continued, "Actors and writers in large numbers have lost their ability to make a living.

Hollywood stars will walk off sets after US actors union Sag-Aftra announced its first major members strike in over 40 years. The decision came after negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) failed to produce new contracts for members on Thursday.

The cast of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film “Oppenheimer” walked out of Thursday’s London premiere to attend “an imminent strike by SAG” in support of Hollywood writers, who continue to fight for their labour rights.
