As Britain’s Got Talent returns to our screens for the 17th year, the annual talent show is once again jam-packed full of unique and memorable acts that will capture the hearts of audiences at home. From singers to dance troupes, magicians to pogo-stick acrobats there’s definitely been no shortage of excitement among the judges.
However, one judge in particular has been so enthusiastic about this year’s bumper crop of talent, that Alesha Dixon has been forced to remind her co-star to behave! The 45 year old judge, who shot to fame in 00’s girl group Mis-Teeq, revealed that her co-star Bruno Tonioli was akin to “an excitable puppy” as he found himself mesmerised by this years acts. “It's literally like sitting next to an excitable puppy or toddler!” exclaimed the star.
“There are pros and cons to that, because with an excitable puppy and a toddler, they also bring a lot of joy, and a lot of fun, and a lot of energy.” Alesha then continued: “Bruno gives you that lift in a session when you need a bit of a pick-me-up. Really he just injects that passion and that's always appreciated.
But of course, like any toddler or puppy, occasionally they need to be told to sit down and behave!” Not that Alesha could blame him of course, with the calibre of acts this year definitely continuing to raise the bar and impress the judging panel and audience alike. In fact, this year promises to be so spectacular in fact, that the judges will award nine golden buzzers in total to fast-track the road to the live semi-finals for the acts they feel are the most worthy.
Teasing how this series compares to the last, Alesha said: “I would say we were very spoiled last year, particularly in the final.
