I think the album reaffirmed my confidence, and it let me know that I should always stick to my guns, and I should always be brave.”He continued: “I think even going forward with other albums, and new music, it’s like, ‘Just always trust yourself, back yourself to be brave, and be confident with your musical decisions, and carry on being free, and carry on being the cowboy and carry on just going into whatever musical terrain or musical experience that you want to do.”While discussing the music he is currently working on, the rapper shared: “When I’m making music, it’s always super deep, but it’s never that deep.

The Smile have shared the single ‘Bending Hectic’, their first new release of 2023 — check out the track below.The band — comprising Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Tom Skinner — unveiled the new track today, and it marks their first new music since their acclaimed debut LP ‘A Light For Attracting Attention’, which arrived last year.Produced by Sam Petts-Davies and featuring strings by the London Contemporary Orchestra, the standalone single may not be entirely new for all listeners, as the trio first debuted the track during their appearance at one of their previous live shows.Initially, the track was performed during the band’s set at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2022, although was not included on the subsequent live album, which arrived later in the year. Due to this, the mystery track soon became “a word-of-mouth phenomenon” according to press, with both “fans and critics calling for its release”.Now, nearly a year since it was first teased during the festival slot, the song today (June 20) gets its global digital release via XL Recordings.

Slowdive have revealed that they will be releasing new music next week.On their social media channels, the band said a new track called ‘Kisses’ will arrive on Tuesday (June 20).They also shared the single’s artwork and a link to a YouTube video which contains a countdown clock to the song’s release. My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields has shared brand new music concealed within his new range of custom guitar pedals.Earlier this week Shields announced a new Shields Blender fuzz pedal with Fender – and fans have now discovered a secret treat within them.As revealed by a fan on forum The Gear Page, once the pedal was opened, a flash drive containing a new song was inside alongside a message from Shields.“For intended effect, please play at 80 dB and above on speakers,” the message reads.The song hasn’t yet been shared online.Discussing his new pedal, Shields said: “I really enjoyed the experience. I’ve been using it a lot recently in the studio, it’s been great, I’m looking forward to hearing how other people use it.“It’s kind of pretty extreme but also very interesting when it’s set up in a subtle way.”Last year My Bloody Valentine criticised Spotify for showing incorrect lyrics on the shoegaze pioneers’ songs on the platform.“Just noticed that Spotify has put fake lyrics up for our songs without our knowledge.
