Sophia Scorziello editor Hollywood is paying tribute to Oscar winner Alan Arkin, who died on Thursday at 89. Known for his dry, straight-faced humor and wide range of roles, Arkin was a beloved member of the entertainment world throughout his more than seven decades of acting on screen and on stage. Arkin won his Oscar for his role in the 2006 indie road comedy “Little Miss Sunshine.” Arkin played Edwin Hoover, the nutty grandfather and biggest supporter of his granddaughter Olive Hoover (Abigail Breslin), a young girl competing in beauty pageant that sends her whole family on a road trip from New Mexico to California in their Volkswagen van.

OutKast‘s André 3000 is working on a new album according to Killer Mike.While speaking to Sway for Sway’s Universe, Killer Mike spoke of his recent collaboration with André 3000 on the track ‘Scientists & Engineers’, which also features Future and appear’s on Killer Mike’s newly released solo album ‘Michael’.Killer Mike revealed that after showing André 3000 the track, the OutKast rapper “played like nine, 10 joints for us and he said, ‘Well, just pick what you like and do something with it'”.“Over the past decade, I’ve sent him records for me, Run The Jewels and stuff, and he’d come back like ‘Man, that shit’s hard. I’m just not into rapping right now,'” Killer Mike elaborated.

Sigur Rós bassist Georg Hólm has admitted that he considered leaving Iceland after the band was accused of tax evasion.The Icelandic government accused the band of of evading 151m króna (£840,000) of tax between 2010 and 2014. Blaming an accounting error, they repaid the debt plus interest, but then faced a second prosecution for the same offence in 2020, which froze their assets. They have since been acquitted.At a similar time, their drummer Orri Páll Dýrason left the band following allegations of sexual misconduct by artist Megan Boyd, which he has consistently denied.“I really did feel like I can’t live in this sort of society,” Hólm told The Guardian.

Killer Mike has released a new single titled ‘Scientists & Engineers’ featuring André 3000, Future and Eryn Allen Kane.Released yesterday, June 13, ‘Scientists & Engineers’ is the latest preview from the Run The Jewels rapper’s upcoming solo album ‘Michael’. The dreamy synth-heavy track features hazy vocals from Future, ethereal choral vocals from Eryn Allen Kane and rapid-fire verses from Killer Mike and André 3000.Listen to Killer Mike’s ‘Scientists & Engineers’ below. Other tracks from the album that have been released so far include ‘Don’t Let The Devil’ featuring El-P and thankugoodsir, ‘Talk’n That Shit!’, which features a cameo appearance from Jamie Foxx., ‘RUN’, featuring Dave Chappelle and Young Thug and ‘MOTHERLESS’.Killer Mike has also revealed the guest spots and contributors’ list for ‘Michael’.

Sigur Rós have announced that they will be releasing a surprise album ‘ÁTTA’.The LP marks their first new studio effort in 10 years, and will arrive digitally tomorrow (June 16). Physical formats will also be available from September 1, pre-order the album here.Consisting of 10 tracks, the upcoming album has been described as their “most intimate and emotionally direct record to date”, and was inspired by that desire for a feeling of unity when overwhelmed by the tumultuous circumstances.“In a post-pandemic world torn apart by war, economic turmoil, culture wars, and brutally divisive discourse, ‘ÁTTA’ feels like a balming and unifying bond.
