Paul Burrell has revealed his appearance on the upcoming I'm A Celebrity...South Africa is "for dads struggling with their sexuality".The popular and long-running competitive ITV series will be back on screens next week, with the former Royal butler joining the likes of other former campmates in South Africa, including boxer Amir Khan, Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan and Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo. And speaking ahead of his second stint in the jungle, 64 year old Paul, who finished runner-up in the 2004 series of the show, explained: "I loved doing it the first time around and to be asked again is very special." He added: "It's like coming into the final of the jungle Olympics.
I had to eat kangaroo testicles in Australia, and I am expecting everything to be bigger in South Africa." Paul was quick to note that things would be "different" this time around as he is a "different person now". Adding further context, he explained: "I was a married guy with two kids, and now 19 years on, I am a married man again, but this time around, I have a husband.
"I have many more things to talk about in South Africa. I want to be there for all the dads who are struggling with their sexuality." Paul also reflected on how his first appearance on the show nearly two decades earlier changed him.
"I went into the jungle as Princess Diana's former butler, and I came out as Paul Burrell. From that point onwards, I realised I had to be me," he said.
