Pasta one-liner wins best joke at Edinburgh Fringe

The closing ceremony for the 2022 Venice Film Festival just took place and the awards winners have been revealed.

Josh Groban is set as the co-lead opposite H.E.R. in ABC’s animated and live-action blended special, Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration. The announcement was made during Friday’s panel at D23 Expo 2022.

The campaign group British East and South East Asians working in the Theatre and Screen industry (BEATS) took issue with Tea Ceremony, a play in which a white male actor, Marios Ioannou, appears as a geisha, a Japanese hostess trained to entertain men. The group claimed that the show, which sees Ioannou wear white face paint, deployed “unashamed yellow face” which it described as “extremely triggering and traumatic” to those who “bear historical weight” of historical abuses.

(Trigger warning: the uncensored video features nudity, graphic language and situations.) On Thursday, Lamar dropped a short film, in both censored and uncensored versions, for the song that stars himself and Paige, and it brings the song to life in a way that’s essentially exactly what you would expect: The two of them arguing in a small apartment, with Paige on her way to work and Lamar in a menial-job shirt — with “Dante S.” on the name tag, possibly a reference to the character of that name in Lamar’s 2012 song “Collect Calls” — and backward baseball cap bearing the combined logos of the Los Angeles Dodgers and his own company, pgLang.

Harlow and Lil Nas X’s collaboration “Industry Baby” propelled their nominations, landing them in competition for artist of the year along with Drake, Bad Bunny, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles and Lizzo.Closely behind are Harry Styles and Doja Cat, who received six nominations apiece, while Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Tayler Swift and The Weeknd each have five.Harlow is pulling double duty, joining LL Cool J and Nicki Minaj as the show’s emcees.
