‘Parasite’ Makes History As First Foreign Language To Win SAG Award In 21 Years; Bong Joon-Ho Addresses Oscar Chances

Will Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” put out a hit on the Oscars 2020 competition? Can Quentin Tarantino’s bloody “Once Upon a Time in . . . Hollywood” have a fairy-tale ending? Will Bong Joon Ho’s dark social-class comedy “Parasite” make history as the first Asian-language Best Picture winner?

The 92nd annual Academy Awards will go live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, Feb. 9 where many stars, writers, directors and other creatives will gather in the hopes of making history.

The 73rd British Academy of Film and Television’s Film Awards are due to kick off at around 18.45 GMT (10.45 PT).

He might not have a date to Oscars 2020 (yet), but we wouldn't mind being Brad Pitt's date to the 92nd Academy Awards going by his look at the 92nd Oscar Nominees Luncheon. The actor, who has been nominated at the Oscars this year for his role in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, attended the luncheon with other Oscar nominees. The actor joined Leonardo DiCaprio, Cynthia Erivo, Charlize Theron, Kathy Bates, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro at the event. 

This is superb. Sony Pictures has released a wonderful near 30-minute-long documentary feature titled ‘A Love Letter To Making Movies’, a featurette based around Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood and it is glorious.

Elton John, Idina Menzel, Chrissy Metz, Cynthia Erivo, and Randy Newman will perform their Oscar-nominated songs at the 92nd Academy Awards next month (February 9, 2020).

SAG Awards 2020 has come and gone and while there were some obvious wins like Joaquin Phoenix for Joker and Renée Zellweger for Judy, the biggest surprise of the night were the winners of Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. The nominations for the category included The Irishman, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Bombshell, Jojo Rabbit and Parasite.
