Singer Paloma Faith has admitted she ‘still loves’ her ex-husband of five years as she confessed she will be 'heartbroken forever' over their split.
The songstress, who has written many chart-topping singles about her love life, has opened up about how her most recent album is about a 'different type of heartbreak.’ The 42-year-old separated from her ex-husband, French artist Leyman Lahcine, in 2022 after nearly ten years together. They married in 2017 but five years later, Paloma confirmed they'd called time on the marriage. At the time, Paloma admitted she felt like a 'broken woman'.
Now, the pop star has opened up about the separation and co-parenting on Jamie Laing's new podcast, Great Company. Paloma shares two kids with her ex, welcoming a daughter in December 2016. She gave birth to a second daughter in February 2021.
The mum-of-two revealed that her latest album The Glorification of Sadness, explores her 'trauma' and ongoing heartache. She said: "You look at your kids and you see that person in your kids. Or they come back from visiting them - your partner/ex-partner - and they're doing their mannerisms or they've got opinions that you don't agree with." Paloma added: "It's even harder, I think in a way, because we really liked each other a lot.
We're really close and we still love each other, and that makes it confusing.
That's really sad. So it's sort of heartbreaking every time we see each other. It's just very raw because of the kids." She added: "That's what makes this a different type of heartbreak album.
The heartbreak will be forever and the navigation of our relationship changing shape will be forever, probably until we die.' It's not the first time Paloma has opened up about her divorce.

Every week it seems there are large numbers of indie and specialty releases vying for attention, impossible to do them all, so when the option of reviewing Nowhere Special was placed in front of me I resisted at first after discovering it actually premiered at the 2020 Venice Film Festival. That’s right, four years ago. I had to wonder what could possibly be good about a film delayed for that long in terms of getting a U.S. release date? Finally caving in to the persistent requests by the distributor and its passionate PR team, I decided to check it out. What I discovered was not that this was some sort of troubled film, not even close. Instead I found a spare but moving drama, powered by a remarkable lead performance, that is all about life and death and all things inbetween. At its heart it is also an inspiring story of dedicated parent and child, how we face the uncertain future, and what we leave behind. Nowhere Special is something special indeed. If you aren’t shedding well-earned tears by the end of this film you simply are not human.

Liam Gallagher and John Squire have looked back at their first time working together, when they co-wrote The Seahorses’ song ‘Love Me And Leave Me’.The topic arose during a recent interview with NME, where the former Oasis frontman and ex-Stone Roses guitarist opened up about the response to their collaborative self-titled album and UK and European shows. In the discussion, the duo were asked about how they collaborated once before – during the first phase of Gallagher’s rock’n’roll career and in the second stage of Squire’s.Taking place back in 1997, both of them took songwriting credit for the song ‘Love Me And Leave Me’, which was shared by Squire as part of his short-lived post-Roses band The Seahorses, and released as part of their first and only album ‘Do It Yourself’.“I don’t even remember doing it,” Liam said when asked about the song, which sparked hopes of a future collaboration between them both. “I just remember John being round our house just fucking about.
