P1Harmony and Pink Sweat$ announce new single ‘Gotta Get Back’

P1Harmony have offered their insights on their recent collaboration with American singer-songwriter Pink Sweat$.P1Harmony and Pink Sweat$ recently teamed up on ‘Gotta Get Back’, which was composed by the latter, alongside lyrics by P1Harmony members Intak and Jongseob. The collaboration had come just three months after the boyband covered Pink Sweat$’s 2021 single ‘At My Worst’.During their appearance on The Zach Sang Show, the group revealed that Pink Sweat$ had expressed his gratitude to the group for their cover of ‘At My Worst’ on Twitter and later came to see the group on the New York leg of their United States tour.“He came to our tour in New York, and we [said] ‘Hi, how’s it going? Thank you for watching our video’, and ‘I love your music’ and then ‘How about we make something that weekend?’” member Jiung said of the singer’s visit to their tour.Keeho went on to share that Pink Sweat$ took charge of the vocal direction for the collaborative track.

Elvis Costello and Allan Mayes have reunited for their old musical project Rusty, and are releasing a new collection of music called ‘The Resurrection Of Rust.’Costello joined Mayes’ band Rusty on New Year’s Day in 1972 and while the band toured extensively for the next year, they didn’t make it into the recording studio.Now, Costello and Mayes have reunited and have made newly recorded renditions of six songs drawn from the band’s set lists from 1972.There are recordings of two Nick Lowe songs, ‘Surrender To The Rhythm’ and ‘Don’t Lose Your Grip On Love,’ as well as a version of Kentucky songwriter Jim Ford’s ‘I’m Ahead If I Can Quit While I’m Behind’.There are also two originals, ‘Warm House’  and ‘Maureen And Sam’ together with an arrangement incorporating the Neil Young songs ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’ and ‘Dance, Dance, Dance’, the latter of which sees Costello making his debut on the electric violin.‘The Resurrection Of Rust’ will be on sale on CD at Costello’s in-person events and concerts.

Girl In Red has announced a new one-off show in London next spring.The Norwegian singer-songwriter will bring her ‘Make It Go Quiet Tour’ to the capital’s O2 Brixton Academy on April 3, 2023. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (May 27) and can be purchased here.It comes after she recently postponed her European headline tour due to damage to her vocal cords.“After my US tour ended on the 25th of April, I went to a throat specialist in Norway who said I had nodular damage to my vocal cords,” Girl In Red explained in a statement.

Rina Sawayama has released ‘This Hell’, the first single from her new album ‘Hold The Girl’, which she announced earlier this week. She has also announced UK and Ireland tour dates for the autumn.“I had so much fun writing ‘This Hell”, she says of the Paul Epworth produced track.

Pixar has unveiled the title and plot of its 27th feature film – the one that will follow next month’s hotly awaited Toy Story spin-off, Lightyear – with a classic Pixar trope given a breath of fresh air.The film is titled Elemental, and is currently bound to hit cinemas on June 16, 2023. It’s being directed by Peter Sohn, who’d previously helmed 2015’s The Good Dinosaur (and before it, the short film Partly Cloudy).
