Oscar Noms Shed Light on Academy's Fears About a Rapidly Changing World

MADRID — The Mobile World Congress, Europe’s largest telecom conference scheduled to take place Feb. 24-27, has been cancelled after more than a dozen participating companies announced they would not be sending delegates for fear of the spread of coronavirus.

The upcoming WWE WrestleMania 37 event just got all the more exciting. Seth Rollins has challenged WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan to lock horns with him in the ring at the event which is scheduled to take place in California. On February 11, the wrestler took to twitter and called out Hogan for a match. “The greatest wrestling company in the world bringing the greatest event of the year to LA in 2021 #hollywoodrollins vs. #hollywoodhogan Book it, brother!” he wrote.

Brad Pitt received his first Oscar as an actor at the 92nd Academy Award. The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor was nominated for the Best Actor in Supporting Role at the Oscars 2020 and beat Al Pacino, Tom Hanks, Joe Pesci and Anthony Hopkins for the trophy.

Antonio Banderas received his first-ever Academy Award nomination for lead actor, thanks to his portrayal of Salvador Mallo in Pedro Almodóvar's Spanish-language film Pain and Glory.The actor spoke to The Hollywood Reporter In Studio about the nomination, saying, "I mean, it's beautiful, the nomination itself, but just in the way that I got here and the circumstances that are surrounding this nomination are all beautiful.
