Original Motions Not Debated at Mardi Gras AGM

This long-running Mardi Gras event is a highlight of the festival, second only to the parade.

Next month, Marvel Studios debuts their latest superhero series “Moon Knight,” a darker, more twisted tale about an anti-hero with a multiple personality disorder starring Oscar Isaac. And in a major vote of confidence, happy with what they brought to the project, it looks like Marvel will elevate the “Moon Knight” directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead for their next series.

EXCLUSIVE: Following a first season that saw strong reviews and record viewing numbers, Marvel is now getting the wheels in motion for the second season of Loki as Deadline is hearing Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have come on to co-direct a majority of the episodes for the upcoming season two with Tom Hiddleston returning in the role of Loki. Hiddleston and Michael Waldron, who wrote and served as show runner of season 1, will exec produce with Eric Martin penning all six episodes.

The ABC has announced a “diverse and talented family of presenters” to host this year’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, live from the Sydney Cricket Grounds. “What better excuse for us all to get together and have a big ol’ party!?” Macdonald said. “I’m thrilled and honoured to be hosting the Mardi Gras for the ABC.

Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Kelsea Ballerini, Walker Hayes and Chris Stapleton, all of whom will hit the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Song choices for the country stars have yet to be announced.Additionally, Parmalee and Blanco Brown will be joined by Brooke Eden for a performance of «Just the Way,» while Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde will sing «Never Wanted To Be That Girl» during the show, and BRELAND will make his ACM Awards debut with a performance of «Praise The Lord.»More than 20 performances will be a part of this year's show, with additional performers set to be announced in the coming weeks.Chris Young leads this year's ACM nominations with seven nods, with Miranda Lambert and first-time nominee Hayes close behind with five each.

57th Academy of Country Music Awards nominations are here! On Thursday, Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett announced the nominees for this year's ACMS, with Chris Young leading the pack with seven nods.Miranda Lambert, the most-nominated female artist in ACM history, earned five nominations this year, including a record-tying 16th nod in Female Artist of the Year category, of which Reba McEntire previously held the sole record.Walker Hayes, a first time nominee, was also nominated five times. Jordan Davis, Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood and Morgan Wallen earned four nominations each, while Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Dave Cobb, Ashley McBryde and Lainey Wilson were each recognized three times.Blake Lively earned two nominations, her first nods at a music awards show, for producing and directing Taylor Swift's music video for «I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version).» Swift's brother, Austin Swift, was also nominated for his work as a producer on the video, while the singer herself nabbed her first ACM nomination since 2018.The 57th Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by Dolly Parton and co-hosts Barrett and Allen, will stream live on Prime Video from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Monday, March 7 at 8:00 p.m.

Two women who've gotten to this age and who are now just fumbling around.

Starting in February, The Viewalums Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, and Elizabeth Hasselbeck will make their return to the show as guest hosts, reported PEOPLE on Jan. 27. Meredith, 68, Star, 59, and Elizabeth, 44, will be coming back to the ABC series for its 25th season that begins in February. Meredith and Star were part of the original panel of women who were on the show when it premiered in 1997 and subsequently left the show in 2006 during its ninth season.

Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead go way down the rabbit hole in their new film, “Something In The Dirt,” one of the big standout films from the Sundance Film Festival. A pandemic brainchild of necessity—what can we shoot during the pandemic which is relatively inexpensive but still doable, so we don’t lose our marbles and can stay artistic—“Something In The Dirt” is a trippy, DIY, sci-fi-ish film about a pair of loser (played by the two filmmakers themselves) dudes in dystopic Los Angeles who stumble upon the unexplainable.

Martha said that the 73-year-old Barefoot Contessa host’s advice wasn’t “charming.”
