Selome Hailu Molly Shannon has joined the cast of “Only Murders in the Building” Season 4 in a recurring role. Though plot details for the season remain under wraps, Shannon will play a high powered Los Angeles businesswoman who finds herself drawn into the world of the investigation in New York.
Shannon is best known for starring in “Saturday Night Live” for six seasons from 1995 to 2001. Most recently, she starred alongside Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman in Zack Braff’s 2023 film “A Good Person” and played Pat Dubek for three seasons of “The Other Two” on Max (previously Comedy Central).
Also among her credits are Showtime’s “I Love That for You” and HBO’s “The White Lotus” and the films “Other People,” “Promising Young Woman,” “Scary Movie 4” and “Scary Movie 5.” Shannon is repped by UTA, Framework Entertainment and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller, Gellman, Meigs & Fox. Created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, “Only Murders in the Building” follows Charles Haden-Savage (Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), three neighbors in a New York City apartment called the Arconia, who come together to record a true crime podcast about the murders of their fellow residents, for which they are continually framed.
Shannon joins a long list of A-list recurring and guest stars that has previously included Tina Fey, Jane Lynch, Meryl Steep and Nathan Lane. Executive producers include Martin, Hoffman, Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.
