Olly Murs has revealed a significant career shift, just days after his 40th birthday celebrations were marred by the absence of his estranged twin brother Ben. The 'Dance With Me Tonight' singer took to Instagram on Friday to announce his participation in the Madison Invitational charity golf day, an annual event that raises funds for those less fortunate.
The X Factor star, who shot to fame following his appearance on the 2009 show, shared a promotional photo of himself on the golf course, signalling a new direction in his career. Olly confessed on The Voice that he failed to attend his brother's wedding due to his commitments on X Factor. Answering Will.i. am's question about his sibling, Olly admitted with astonishing forthrightness: "I have no idea."
