Jack Rhodes has finally broken his silence after fans expressed their disappointment over this year's Britain's Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas allegedly 'snubbing' him post-victory.
The magician, who wowed audiences with his incredible acts, made it to the final three in the BGT final but was pipped to the post by songstress Sydnie. Sydnie, 28, was visibly overwhelmed as she was crowned the winner of the talent show, securing a hefty £250k prize and the coveted slot at the Royal Variety Performance. However, some viewers felt that she didn't give Jack, 27, the recognition he deserved, with one peeved fan posting on X, previously known as Twitter: "Sydnie not even acknowledging jack.
Shameful." "Sydnie Christmas only got 27% of the vote and didn't congratulate [the] runner-up at all, too busy congratulating herself.", wrote another, reports the Mirror. A third added: "Thoroughly enjoyed the series as always, just a shame it appeared Sydnie had no time for the runner up," suggesting a simple gesture of goodwill would have been appreciated. Comments also included sentiments like "Felt bad for Jack Just stood there as everyone was crowding around Sydnie" and "wanted Jack to win, but rate Sydnie Christmas for celebrating like she wanted it.
None of that humble nonsense, just punching the air and jumping around." Following Sydnie's win, Jack was interviewed backstage by BGT staff. In a clip shared on the show's official Instagram, he expressed his feelings but didn't mention Sydnie.
The magician said: "Oh my God. Overwhelmed, buzzing, everything in between.
