Oleksandr Zinchenko drops cryptic hint over Man City future amid Arsenal transfer interest

Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko may have dropped the biggest hint yet that he wants to seek a new challenge this forthcoming summer.

The Ukraine international, who joined City back in 2016, has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal over the past few weeks and former City coach Mikel Arteta has identified him as a firm target ahead of the transfer window opening on June 10. The Gunners manager is understood to be a big fan of the versatile left-sided player and is interested in adding him to his squad.

However, the Manchester Evening News understands that City are not keen on selling the 25-year-old, who is eager to secure more regular game time. He made 28 appearances in all competitions for Pep Guardiola's side this season — although only 15 of them came in the Premier League.

But despite Arsenal's ongoing interest in his signature, Zinchenko has, potentially, hinted that Everton are also in the running for him. The Ukrainian has 'liked' a post on Instagram claiming that Everton has been 'touted' as a possible destination for him.

The Toffees avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth this season, so manager Frank Lampard will be determined to improve his squad next season in a bid to start climbing the Premier League table. The Goodison Park outfit already have one Ukrainian international on their books in the form of Vitaliy Mykolenko.

If City make the decision to cash in on Zinchenko this summer, although they currently have no plans to move him on, it would most probably see the addition of a left-back be bumped up the club's summer transfer agenda.
