Specialist police officers swooped on two suspects after a Mercedes van and £16,000 in cash were reported stolen from a local business in Bolton.
The burglary was reported from the business on Egerton Street in the Farnworth area on Monday (May 20). Officers in GMP's Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit were alerted.
They started to track the suspects' vehicle after the registration plate activated an Automictic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera in the area, police said. Officers then tracked them, before swooping in and boxing in their vehicle.

Two men - aged in their 40s - were arrested on suspicion of burglary. Officers found some of the stolen cash, a number of phones and 'other items relevant to the investigation'.
Both men are now in custody to be quizzed by detectives. Detective Sergeant Carla Deighton, from GMP's Bolton Neighbourhood Crime said: "I would like to thank our colleagues in TVIU for responding so quickly to this incident.
"Their assistance has taken two burglars off the streets of Bolton and helped us recover some of the stolen items that were taken from the local businesses in question. We understand that burglary is one of the most intrusive crimes you can experience whether it is your home or your business, and we will not tolerate it in our communities."
