Five people had to be rescued from a 4x4 which got stuck in a 'dangerous' marsh on the slopes of Bolton moorland whilst off-roading.
The Bolton Mountain Rescue Team were called to the incident on the Rivington Moor at 7.45pm on Saturday, July 24.
The team said that it does not provide a off-road vehicle recovery service and that its primary role is to assist people who are injured or endangered.
