A Manchester nurse has admitted having an 'inappropriate relationship' with a prison inmate - while a jail worker is also accused of having a fling with the same man.
Elyse Hibbs, 25, admitted that she became involved with the inmate while working at HMP Manchester - known as Strangeways prison. She was also involved with the man while working at HMP Parc in Wales, a court heard.
She pleaded guilty to one charge of misconduct in a public office and now faces jail herself. A second prison worker, Ruth Shmylo, also 25, appeared in court alongside Hibbs and is accused of having a fling with the same inmate.

Shmylo - who has also been charged with misconduct in a public office - did not enter a plea and must return to court next month. Her charge relates to relations with the inmate at HMP Parc.
Shmylo's alleged five-month relationship is said to have taken place between December and April 2021. Hibbs then got involved with the same man - who has not been named - between May and July of the same year.
Yesterday (September 20), Hibbs from Manchester, was told 'all options' remain open for sentencing as she appeared at Cardiff Crown Court. Her defence lawyer Adam Sharp said her plea was on a basis that would need to be reviewed by the Crown Prosecution Service and requested a pre-sentence report.
She was told to return to court next month for sentence or a further direction hearing. Recorder of Cardiff, Tracey Lloyd-Clarke, said: "You have pleaded guilty to what is, as I suspect you know, a very serious offence. I'm going to order a pre-sentence report and bail you to the next hearing.
