Fatone said the assumed expectation was that Timberlake would eventually come back to the hugely popular boy band, but that never transpired. Timberlake went on to launch a solo career with his 2002 debut album “Justified” (2002) and never rejoined NYSNC to make new music until the 2023 release of “Better Place,” from the “Trolls Band Together” soundtrack.

For years, many fans have dreamed of a joint Backstreet Boys and NSYNC tour. Now, with NSYNC’s explosive recent reunion reigniting such hopes, the Backstreet Boys tell us they’d love to hit the road with the group.

The documentary is co-produced by Johnny Wright, who previously served as the tour manager for both New Kids on the Block and *NSYNC member, Justin Timberlake.“The Nineties boy band era was an extraordinary chapter in music where harmonies and beats came together,” Wright said of the documentary, per Rolling Stone.
