Nilüfer Yanya is the next guest on The Record Club with Bowers & Wilkins, to chat through her third album PAINLESS.
On Wednesday 9 March 2022 at 6pm, Nilüfer will join our host Jess Iszatt to discuss the making of the record, and answer some fan questions submitted during the stream.
Fans are encouraged to pre-order a physical copy of the album from their local record shop, and give the album a listen on digital formats ahead of the interview, and come prepared with their questions for Nilüfer!

Working Men’s Club have announced full details of their second album, called ‘Fear Fear’ – listen to first single ‘Widow’ below.The band’s self-titled debut album came out in 2020, and they announced last September that its follow-up was finished.‘Fear Fear’ will come out on July 15 via Heavenly, and frontman Syd Minsky-Sargeant discussed its creation and themes in a statement, saying: “The first album was mostly a personal documentation lyrically, this is a blur between personal and a third-person perspective of what was going on.“I like the contrast of it being happy, uplifting music and really dark lyrics,” he added. “It’s not a minimal record, certainly compared to the first one. (G)I-DLE leader and producer Soyeon has opened up about her approach to the group’s newly-released studio album ‘I Never Die’.At a press showcase for the girl group’s new album and single ‘Tomboy’ yesterday (March 14), the (G)I-DLE leader shared the thought process on the new record, which came over a year since the quintet’s last release.“Because we are coming back after such a long absence, I made this album as if we were debuting again,” said Soyeon, who wrote and co-composed over half the tracks on ‘I Never Die’, including its lead single.“When I saw the five members, who have matured, I wondered what concept would best suit them, and focused on that throughout the process,” added the leader, who said that she had worked on the release with the goal of producing a “detailed and cool” album.Elsewhere during the showcase, the vocalists of (G)I-DLE spoke about rapping on the B-side track ‘My Bag’, for which they had dropped a special video prior to the album’s release. “This is the first song where [the whole group] raps,” said Taiwanese member Shuhua, who added that she had enjoyed the challenge.Meanwhile, Chinese member Yuqi, who also co-wrote and composed the songs ‘Liar’ and ‘Polaroid’ joked that she had “always [been] good at rapping”.

Nilüfer Yanya has shared her latest single ‘The Dealer’ – you can hear the new track below.The song is the final preview of the London artist’s upcoming second album ‘Painless’, which is the follow-up to her 2019 debut ‘Miss Universe’ and is set for release on Friday (March 4) via ATO Records.Speaking about ‘The Dealer’, Yanya explained: “When I was writing this song I was thinking about the transient nature of life and the cyclical nature of the seasons.“I find it interesting how we attach certain memories and feelings to different seasons and tend to revisit them time and time again, yet our lives move in a more linear motion and even when we feel like we are going back we never really get to go back anywhere.
