Nikki Grahame’s heartbroken mum Sue has opened up on the ways she keeps her late daughter’s memory alive in an emotional Channel 4 documentary. Late Big Brother star Nikki tragically passed away aged 38 last April, following a long battle with anorexia which began when she was just eight years old. Now, in a moving one-off programme called Nikki Grahame: Who Is She, which airs on Thursday 7 April, Sue shares her devastation about her daughter’s death, as well as the things she does to feel closer to Nikki since her sad passing.
Letting viewers into Nikki’s flat where she lived, Sue says: “I’m here today at Nikki’s flat. I’ve been doing lots of sorting out. It’s really difficult to do, it’s tough, but I’ve got to do it.” Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter She then says she wants to show Nikki’s fans some of her most treasured possessions, including a cuddly teddy bear of Pingu that she was holding as she died.
Picking up the penguin toy, Sue heartbreakingly explains: “When I come here and stay at her flat I sleep here, on this bit in her bed, cuddling Pingu, who actually she was cuddling when she died.” “I cuddle him every night now because it brings me a little bit closer to Nikki.” Sue also explains that there’s another item in Nikki’s wardrobe that always brings her comfort whenever she looks at it, as it reminds her of happier times. Pulling out Nikki’s glam dress that she wore to the National Television Awards in 2006, where she picked up the gong for Most Popular TV Contender, Sue tells the cameras: “I want to show you the dress that Nikki wore to the National TV Awards. “I love this dress so much.
