Nicki Minaj's husband Kenneth Petty is officially a registered sex offender.  E! News can confirm the rapper's husband is now listed in the California database of sexual offenders. Petty's status as an offender is due to the fact that he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995.  According to court documents filed on Feb.

The husband of Nicki Minaj, 37, who was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender on Mar. 4, gave the camera a sullen look while wearing a black T-shirt in the post-arrest pic. It’s the first pic the public has seen of Kenneth since he was shockingly arrested and eventually faced a judge.

While the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office announced on Friday (Mar. 6) that it was dropping charges against Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty for failing to register as a sex offender, that does not mean he is in the clear.

In a case of good news, bad news for Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty, the charges against Petty have been dropped in Los Angeles after he was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.

On March 4, Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty was arrested in Los Angeles for failing to register as a sex offender. Now, following an appearance in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the charges against him have been dropped, the Blast reports and Pitchfork can confirm. In a statement to Pitchfork, a representative for the LA County District Attorney’s Office said: “The Kenneth Petty case was dismissed today because he faces similar charges in federal court.”
