Amazon Originals' new series Regular Heroes will be spotlighting the deserving heroes who are making a difference in their communities.Regular Heroes, out Friday (May 8) on Amazon Prime Video, is an eight-episode docuseries which will focus on a new generous individual each episode, displaying how he or she is going above and beyond during the COVID-19 crisis in New York City, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Chicago and Seattle among others.

In news that is both surprising and also not at all: Nicolas Cage is making his regular televison debut in the role of Tiger King super star, Joe Exotic in an upcoming eight-part scripted series.

Netflix is bringing back Borgen, the Danish political drama that became a surprise global hit more than a decade ago. The streaming giant has inked a deal with Danish public broadcaster DR for a new series of Borgen to star the original cast, including lead Sidse Babett Knudsen as Danish politician Birgitte Nyborg, and with series creator Adam Price on board for the reboot.

Social distancing is taking center stage in a new Netflix series.

If you thought for a second that coronavirus wasn't going to inspire a lot of related entertainment, think again. Netflix, naturally, works the fastest, and has already ordered Social Distance, an appropriately titled quarantine anthology series from Orange Is the New Blackcreator Jenji Kohan.

Disney+ Hotstar has followed up its launch in India earlier this month with a 234-episode commission of hit Indian animated series Selfie With Bajrangi. The deal, unveiled Tuesday, will see Singapore- and India-based animation studio Cosmos-Maya produce three seasons of the show — 78 episodes of 11 minutes each.
