Netflix’s ‘The Midnight Club’ Series Adaptation Sets Cast

EXCLUSIVE: Benedict Cumberbatch will star in the Anonymous Content limited series update of the classic thriller The 39 Steps. Series is created by The Revenant scribe Mark L. Smith and directed by Edward Berger. Berger teamed previously with Cumberbatch on Patrick Melrose, and was a director and executive producer of the just completed Showtime limited series Your Honor.

Holly Madison’s bestselling memoir, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny, is in the works for the small screen. Sony Pictures Television has optioned the tell-all book for development as a limited series with Samara Weaving (Hollywood) set to star as Madison.

A Boob’s Life is a half hour comedy about Leslie, a woman turning 40 and in crisis, whose life gets turned upside down when her boobs start talking to her, forcing her to look at herself in a completely different light.

Twilight actor Booboo Stewart has grabbed the lead role in Radar Pictures' movie adaptation of Geraldine Brooks' historical novel Caleb's Crossing. Stewart will play the title character Caleb Cheeshahteaumuck, the first Native American graduate of Harvard University and the inspiration for Brooks' novel.

Netflix’s latest coming-of-age story, Firefly Lane, follows Kate (Sarah Chalke) and Tully (Katherine Heigl), who meet as teenagers and form a friendship that spans 30 years. The series, which debuts on Wednesday, February 3, follows their ups and downs, the tragedies that bring them together and ultimately the tests that their friendship faces.

Amazon Studios has acquired the rights to Norwegian film Hope for series adaptation, with Nicole Kidman attached to star and be executive produced under her Blossom Films banner. Kidman most recently received rave reviews for her performance in the hit HBO limited series The Undoing.Per Saari is also exec producing.
