Netflix’s ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Unveils New Live-Action Look at Aang, Katara and Sokka Riding Appa

Nick Vivarelli International Correspondent Iginio Straffi, creator of the six teenage fairies in the “Winx Club” TV franchise that bewitched millions of tween girls and spawned Netflix’s live-action “Fate: The Winx Saga,” is launching a new series titled “Gormiti – The New Era.” The male-skewed “Gormiti” live-action series follows four boys — each representing a different elemental tribe of their homeland Gorm — and Ao-ki, a Light Girl, who leads and trains them. With her help, the boys must learn to master their elemental arm bracers, which when used properly summon legendary heroes and gods of the corresponding elements to fight on their behalf.

The Last Of Us has reportedly chosen Kaitlyn Dever to portray Abby Anderson in the season two of the post-apocalyptic horror series.Los Angeles Magazine contributor Jeff Sneider has written on his blog that sources have alerted him to Dever’s potential casting.The journalist noted on The InSneider that showrunner Craig Mazin told The L.A. Times in August that he’d found an actress to portray Abby, Ellie’s rival in the HBO series.Mazin did not respond to a request for comment, nor did UTA, the agency that represents Dever.

Netflix has finally shared the first teaser trailer for its highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, along with its release date.Last night (November 9), Netflix unveiled the teaser trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender during its ongoing Geeked event, during which it debuts and shares new information on upcoming Netflix content.The first teaser trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender – which you can watch above – comes five years after Netflix first ordered a live-action adaptation of the hit Nickelodeon animated series.In the trailer, we get our first look at the main cast in action, fire bending, Appa, Momo and more. The end of the trailer confirms that Avatar: The Last Airbender is set for release on Netflix on February 22 next year.Netflix has also confirmed that the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender will comprise of eight episodes, each running for an hour.The lead role of Aang will be played by young Gordon Cormier (Lost In Space, The Stand).
