Netflix has cancelled a handful of original television content after just one season on the air. In March of 2020 alone, the streaming service cancelled four new shows that had only been given one season! In June of 2020, two more shows joined this ever-growing list. In August of 2020, this list grew even further and this time, shows that had been renewed were actually given the axe.

Christopher Kryser, the creator of the Netflix series The Society, is reacting to the news that the streaming service has canceled the show.

Netflix has announced some unfortunate news – two shows that had previously been given renewals for more seasons have now been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Variety has confirmed.“I Am Not Okay With This” had not been formally renewed after its first season aired back in February, but “The Society” had been picked up for a second season last July.“We’ve made the difficult decision not to move forward with second seasons of ‘The Society’ and ‘I Am Not Okay With This,’” a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement.
