‘Naked and Afraid’ Alum Melanie Rauscher Dead at 35: ‘The World Lost an Amazing Person’

Naked and Afraid alum Melanie Rauscher died earlier this month at age 35 while dog-sitting in Arizona.

 contestant has been found dead.Melanie Rauscher, who appeared on the Discovery Channel reality series in 2017 and its spin-off  the following year, was found dead on July 17, TMZ reported, citing Prescott Police Department rep Cory Kasun. She was 35 years old. According to TMZ, per Kasun, Rauscher had been dog sitting at a home in Arizona while its owners were away on vacation.

The Discovery Channel show contestant had been staying in a guest room in the house while the homeowners were out of town, according to TMZ.  Fox News Digital contacted the Prescott Police Department, but a spokesperson was unavailable for comment.

A two-time contestant from Naked and Afraid has died under what has been described as “mysterious circumstances.”

confirmed the news to TMZ. When the family returned on July 17, they found Rauscher dead in the guest bedroom.Several cans of compressed air were reportedly found by Rauscher’s body.
