Long-running Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has reflected on being part of the panel for over two decades, admitting she’s grown up a lot during her time on the hit ITV show. Speaking exclusively to OK!during our International Women’s Day shoot with Nadia and some of her co-stars, the 57 year old confessed she thought the programme would only last for a couple of series.
However, the mum of two, who said she was “empty-headed” when the show first launched in 1999, went on to say she was thrilled Loose Women is now in its 23rd year on the box. She added that by working with the other women, she’s “learnt a lot” and has seen herself grow as a person.

Opening up about how the show has changed over the years, Nadia told us: “It’s funny because years ago I said to Kaye [Adams], ‘It’s a shame, we’ll probably only do two series because if you think about it, we’ll all run out of stuff to say.’” “Now we often look back on some of the early shows and think, ‘Did I actually think that?! What an idiot!’” She added: “I’ve really grown up in the show, I was pretty empty-headed when I first started.
I've learnt a lot.” As well as seeing her views change and apart as the years have gone by, Nadia has witnessed several panel changes, as famous faces have joined and left the panel. But the down-to-earth star, who is married to husband Mark Adderley, says one thing has remained steady throughout.
