X Factor star Myles Stephenson has revealed that he is undergoing tests in hospital after learning he has a heart condition. The Rak-Su singer, 31, told in social media posts on Friday that he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as he shared a snap of monitors on his chest. He later explained in an Instagram Story: 'I am ok.
I have a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which basically means in a nutshell that my heart walls are too thick and it can cause problems pumping blood around my body. 'So I have yearly check-ups. This is all very new to me as well so I am still working out what I need to do and how I have to carry myself now with regards to my heart and how much exercise I can do and stuff like that.
'The singer went on to say he had a fitness test too but it was cut short because his blood pressure is 'dangerously high'. But he was quick to reassure his fans, insisting: 'I am all good, not to worry, it's very new to me, I am trying to understand what is going on. ' Rak-Su won ITV's X Factor in 2017 and Myles went on to appear on I'm A Celeb in 2019 and MasterChef in 2020.
It comes after last month Myles revealed he was forced to rush his 16-month-old son Shiloh to hospital with suspected hypothermia. The X Factor winner, who only revealed he had become a father earlier this year, said that he and his girlfriend were left terrified by the incident.
