A woman is convinced her husband has been unfaithful to her, despite him maintaining her innocence - after a seven-word sentence she overheard on the phone told her something fishy was going on.
The woman, 43, described herself as 'tired and angry' after accusing her husband, 44, of cheating - only for him to deny it. But a seven-word sentenced she heard in the background of a phone call to him is telling her otherwise.
She and her husband have been happily married for nine years - and 'this is true even if he did end up cheating' on her. Explaining the situation on Reddit, the anonymous woman said her husband Paul*, who "doesn't have many friends at all" has lately been hanging out with her coworker Steven*, who is recently divorced.
One night, when the woman was at home 'watching Disney plus', Paul and Steven were hanging out 'at ad dive bar', when she claims they moved on to a strip club. She added: "We've never had a discussion about if either of us finds strip clubs disrespectful to the other so this is grey area.
However staying out this late solo on a Tuesday is not something he's ever done before." Just after 4am she says the phone connects, but she can just hear "women's voices" to which she is "immediately apprehensive" about.
She continued: "There is some distortion so I can't really hear what the women are saying but then very clearly an energetic male voice cuts in with 'This d**k isn't going to suck itself'. Woman voice again followed by eventual hangup on the other end."
