When we met, I’d just come out of an abusive relationship where I was berated for being too fat and told that I’d have to lose weight to have kids. Ironically, I was nothing of the sort. I was curvy, not overweight.
Anyway, I left him and met my fiancé around a month later. At the time I was in the throes of “sod it, I can eat and do whatever I want” after months and years of being controlled. Over the past two years I’ve also had extensive surgery on my knee and hip which left me physically unable to move for six months last year resulting in weight gain - three stone to be precise, which is wild and I’m not proud of it.
