A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a woman was found in a house, police have confirmed today (February 18).
The woman was 26, but she hasn't been named following the discovery at 1.10pm on Wednesday.
Greater Manchester Police said officers attended a property on Sparkford Avenue in the Brooklands area of Wythenshawe.

It followed a report of a woman 'having been found deceased', a force spokesman said.
Emergency services raced to the scene but sadly, the woman was pronounced dead.
GMP said in a statement a man aged in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder and questioned.
He's since been released on bail as the investigation continues, the force said.
A neighbour said the woman's death has sent shockwaves through the area.
They said she had two young children.
"The police tactical aid unit has been there since Wednesday and the police have been guarding the house," said the neighbour.
"The forensic team also came in a white van.
"It has been a big shock. She is very well known and it's just unbelievable.
"It's heartbreaking and so, so sad."
GMP said today enquiries were continuing.
Details of the tragedy on Wednesday have only just been revealed.
In a statement to the Manchester Evening News , police said: "Police were called at around 1.10pm on 16 February to an address on Sparkford Avenue, Manchester, to a report of a woman having been found deceased.
"Emergency services attended and a 26-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder. He has since been released on bail.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
No further details have been revealed.
