Murder investigation launched after man and woman found dead at shooting range

Police have launched a murder investigation after the bodies of two people were found at a shooting range.
Paramedics and police officers raced to the scene of the range, on College Road, near Thornton Curtis, North Lincolnshire, around 3.40pm on Friday, July 14.
The body of a man and a woman were found at the scene by officers. Paramedics attended but the pair were pronounced dead.
A large police presence was seen around the White Lodge Shooting School, near Thornton Abbey from Friday afternoon. A tent was erected as forensic teams scoured the areas and inside the main building.
The Grimsby Telegraph reports that the lane leading down to White Lodge had police on guard with a cordon in place. The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Service also attended the scene while the coastguard helicopter circled the area.
Humberside Police have confirmed a homicide investigation has been launched following the deaths of a man and woman.
Senior Investigating Officer Chief Inspector Al Curtis, from the force's Major Crime Team said: “Enquiries are in the very early stages to establish the circumstances of the man and woman’s death. A homicide investigation has commenced, and both deaths are being treated as suspicious at this time until we establish the facts. We can confirm we are not looking for any else in relation to this enquiry.
“A scene guard will be in place while we carry out our investigation and residents will likely observe an increased policing presence in the area as we carry out all lines of inquiry. Specially trained officers have notified the next of kin of both victims and are being supported throughout this incredibly difficult time.
