Two pedestrians were left injured after a car mounted the pavement on a busy road near Greater Manchester. Officers were called out to High Street West in Glossop - part of the A57 between Tameside and Snake Pass - following the incident involving a black Vauxhall Corsa.
Derbyshire Police says the two pedestrians, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s, suffered minor injuries following the collision. Detectives have today (July 18) released a statement urging witnesses to come forward following the incident, which took place shortly before 7am on Sunday, July 2.
A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after an assault in Glossop. We were called to High Street West in Glossop just before 7am on Sunday, July 2, following a report of a car mounting a pavement and hitting two pedestrians.

"The victims, a man aged in his 30s and a woman aged in her 20s, suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision with a black Vauxhall Corsa. Anyone who saw what happened, or has CCTV or dashcam footage, can contact us, quoting reference number 23*406221."
