The mum of darts whizz Luke Littler's girlfriend has defended their age gap romance after her daughter was subjected to "vile" abuse from online trolls. Teenage sensation Luke, who recently shot to fame with his darts skills, is only 16 years old but went public with new girlfriend Eloise Milburn, 21, after it was revealed the pair have been dating for six weeks.
They reportedly met playing FIFA on Xbox and Eloise has since been spotted cheering on her new boyfriend, who is the youngest ever darts player to reach the World Darts Championship finals, which will take place at London's Alexandra Palace tonight - and could see Luke pocket £500,000 as well as the coveted trophy.
However, Eloise's mum Amanda Milburn has hit back at claims her daughter is a "money grabber" and cruel jibes about the five-year age gap between Eloise and Luke, who will turn 17 on January 21. She said: "Eloise has been accused of all sorts", and denied her daughter was only with Luke for his money and fame, calling the comments a "total pack of disgusting lies".
Amanda told the Daily Mail: "There's been a lot of horrible stuff being posted online about my daughter and my husband Phil and I are very angry about it. She's not with him for any of these reasons.
She doesn't care about his money or his fame, she's with him because she likes him. It's as simple as that." "It's really hurtful when we read these comments, many of them from so-called darts fans.
My daughter is none of these things that these vile people are making out. She's a lovely young girl who is in a new relationship and people should allow them to get on with things." Though Amanda and Phil haven't met Eloise's new boyfriend Luke yet, they've chatted on the phone, as reported by the
