Victoria Monét has opened up as to why she did not perform at this year’s edition of the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).The singer-songwriter released her debut album ‘Jaguar II’ last month. The LP included collaborations between Monét and Lucky Daye, Buju Banton, her daughter Hazel Monét, and Earth, Wind & Fire and a song produced by Kaytranada.Her fans took to social media after noticing that Monét was not part of the MTV VMAs 2023 performer’s list.

MTV just added some exciting new performers to the lineup of talent taking the stage at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards next week!
This year’s ceremony takes place on Tuesday, September 12 and is hosted at New Jersey’s Prudential Center. The network has slowly been revealing information about who will be taking the stage to belt out their hits.
On Friday (September 8), they announced several more numbers that fans can look forward to.

The newest list of performers for the ceremony includes Fall Out Boy, Peso Pluma and Metro Boomin with Future, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Swae Lee and Nav.
They join the previously announced lineup, featuring Video Vanguard Award winner Shakira, Global Icon Award recipient Sean “Diddy” Combs, Demi Lovato, Karol G, Maneskin and Stray Kids.
Rapper Kaliii, singer and actress Renee Rapp and rock band The Warning will perform on the Extended Play Stage.
This year’s host will also take the stage for a performance during the main show.
