Mrs Browns Boys actor Eilish O' Carroll has addressed rumours the BBC hit series could be returning for its first proper series since 2013
Eilish O' Carroll, who plays Winnie on the comedy show, was asked about talk of a series return sooner than Christmas as she spoke on station Ireland AM.
And Eilish said that although nothing has been confirmed. it is a 'possibility'.
She said: "There are mumblings of another four episodes of Mrs Brown’s Boys itself but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. "If it happens I’ll get very excited, but if it doesn’t happen I won’t be upset."
It was initially thought filming for a new series would take place in April, but that hasn't happened and Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Live Show tour is due to kick off in Blackpool, England, in June, leaving little time for recording,
Eilish has also spoke about her future marriage plans in an interview with the Sunday World.
She said she and long term partner Marian are thinking about trying the knot
She said: "We have talked about marriage. We talk round it, talk about it and I campaigned hard and heavy for it because I just believe in choice and people having the rights in life as everybody else.
"It wasn't so I could march down the aisle. But the option is there if we ever want to do it. "The main reason we are talking about getting married is because of property, because I'm f***ed, excuse my French, if what I worked really hard for ends up in the taxman's pocket - and it will do because we are not married."

Cannes Film Festival was trembling for Austin Butler as the King in Baz Luhrmann’s world premiere of “Elvis.”The film received an uproarious 12-minute standing ovation, the longest of this year’s festival so far.As the the cheers went on and on, a teary-eyed Butler hugged an equally-emotional Priscilla Presley, who flew to the South of France to give her blessing for the movie about her late husband. The Warner Bros. musical drama had Cannes spontaneously erupting into applause as Butler recreated some of Presley’s greatest hits including “Jailhouse Rock,” “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Suspicious Minds.”“Elvis” is one of the biggest titles to screen at Cannes, with a star-studded carpet that included Sharon Stone, Shakira, Kylie Minogue, Diplo and Jeremy O. Harris.
Peter Debruge Chief Film CriticIn “Leila’s Brothers,” a once proud, now pathetic Persian family teeters on the brink of ruin, held together by the assertive sister who’s tired of relying on men to decide her fortune. Taking matters into her own hands may be empowering to watch — there’s no question that “The Salesman” alum Taraneh Alidoosti, who plays Leila, towers over this male-dominated ensemble — but it’s also a recipe for potential tragedy in Iranian writer-director Saeed Roustaee’s novelistic, nearly-three-hour saga, his first to be selected for Cannes. Some audiences may recognize Roustaee from another turbulent family portrait, “Life and a Day” (2016), whereas it was his terrific cop thriller “Just 6.5” (2019) — the closest thing Iran has produced to “The French Connection,” still unreleased in the U.S.
Based on her own time spent in the acting school Les Amandiers, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi’s “Forever Young” aims to recreate a very specific time and place both in her life and in France, more than it cares to inform her audience about what, exactly, was so special about this school. Funded in the 1980s by Patrice Chéreau, a successful and daring director of theatre, opera and film, Les Amandiers did not last very long but for a few years it was considered to be one of the most exciting places in France and even Europe for young actors to develop their crafts, and for directors to find new talent.
Nick Vivarelli International CorrespondentWhen Italian-French actress and director Valeria Bruni Tedeschi was in her twenties she had the formative experience of attending the prestigious acting school at the Théâtre des Amandiers in Nanterre, France, led by late great auteur Patrice Chéreau. Her fifth directorial effort, “Forever Young,” which is in competition in Cannes, is a tribute to that time and, ultimately, to any young person’s passion for the theatre. Tedeschi spoke to Variety in Cannes about how she mixed remembrances and re-invention to make this film.
