Modern Family Prepares to Say Goodbye With Some Dirty Dancing and a New Baby

After 11 seasons, 22 Emmy Awards, and 12 Golden Globe nominations, ABC’s Modern Family has finally come to an end. However, a spin-off may be in the works soon.

As one of the most successful sitcoms in recent times, Modern Family took it's final bow today after 11 glorious seasons and 250 laugh out loud episodes. The Emmy-nominated series made actors like Sofia Vergara and Ty Burrell extremely popular over time! In fact, Modern Family got a lot of Emmy love as well for its unconventional family comedy. However, the time was up for this modern family to hang up their boots and say their final goodbye to their fans.

The cast of Modern Family leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love and family after Wednesday night’s series finale. For 11 years, Sofia Vergara, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson,Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, and Aubrey Anderson Emmons played one big dysfunctional family on-screen, but, that family aspect didn’t end when the director yelled cut.

Modern Family has come to an end.  After 11 seasons, the Pritchett/Dunphy/Tucker/Marshall clan all said goodbye with a two-part finale tonight, and when we say that, we mean they literally all did a lot of saying goodbye, over and over and over again.  Pretty much everyone is headed somewhere new, whether it's Switzerland, Colombia, Missouri, Oregon, or just a new apartment, but it was Mitch and Cam who kept almost leaving throughout the finale.

Audiences said goodbye to the ABC sitcom Modern Family on Apr. 8 after it’s storied 11 year run. For star Sarah Hyland, who played Haley Dunphy, the 29-year-old is so excited for what is to come next. “Sarah thinks it is the sky’s the limit for her career after Modern Family. She is enjoying her time off, she is certainly well off financially and doesn’t have to work again, but she wants to star in her own shows and do movies that make her happy,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

The end of an era! The cast of Modern Family are saying goodbye to the long-running series for good ahead of its season 11 finale on Wednesday, April 8.

is coming to an end on Wednesday, signing off after 11 seasons of laughs and love as one of television's most watched and acclaimed family sitcoms of the last decade.

The world has been watching Sarah Hyland, 29 grow up ever since she was a teen. The actress burst onto the scene at the age of 19 when she landed the role of Haley Dunphy on the ABC sitcom Modern Family, and we’ve been watching her mature and become the incredible woman she is today ever since! As the longtime TV series comes to an emotional close on April 8, we’re taking a look back at how much Sarah has transformed since we first saw her on the silver screen in that very first season.

It spoils nothing to reveal that in the Modern Family finale, there is a group hug so spectacularly COVID-unsafe that one 6-foot space is occupied by 16 different people. If Seinfeld was a show about nothing (Was it? Did any comedy ever have more plot?), Modern Family was always, unabashedly, about emotion.

I booked in February 2009 after the show I was on, Lipstick Jungle, had gotten canceled. A few months prior, I decided to move to L.A.
